Born in Kent in the village of Leeds, I am a farmer’s son, some of my images can be seen to mirror my formative years - the furrows of ploughed fields, the rolled earth, the rows of drilled seeds, the wind in the cornfields and the patchwork of texture and colour in the rickyard
Initially working with hard edge paper collage, I exhibited in solo exhibitions in London and Norfolk in 1980/81. My influences are many and varied from exposure at art college to the work of Hans Arp and Ellsworth Kelly and later to the work of Francois Morellet
